Positano Tee Free Crochet Pattern

Houses tumbling down to the sea in a cascade of sun-bleached peach, pink and terracotta paint the steep cliffside in bursts of warmth and charm. The narrow streets lined with quaint little boutiques and wisteria-draped cafés offer the ideal afternoon excursion as you lazily stroll through the picturesque village nestled perfectly amongst the hills.

With it’s delicate nature and loose-fitting style, the Positano Tee makes for the perfect companion as you wander down to the pebbled beachfront. Made with comfort in mind, the open, lacy fabric gives multiple options for layering – whether worn with your swimsuit or paired with a loose fitting skirt and sandals for a more relaxed vibe, this tee will adapt to every outfit all summer long.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve most likely realised that I have an affinity with cotton yarns. How could I not? They come in a variety of weights, colors and even mercerized and unmercerized options, making for the ideal fibre to use when whipping up a soft, summer-y garment. This lightweight tee is worked up using just one of Lion Brand’s luxury yarns, the LB Collection Cotton Bamboo. Soft and sleek with beautiful drape, I love the way the definition of this cotton and bamboo blend creates beautifully shaped eyelets within the yoke of this garment.

I’d consider this an easy level crochet pattern, but an ambitious beginner may be able to tackle this one as I’ve also included a ton of how-to photos to help make the learning process all the more enjoyable. Sweater

Block the finished body of tee to correct height/width. Place the “Front of Tee” on top of the “Back of Tee”, flip the layout inside out, and join the two panels together by seaming ‘Row 1’ to ‘Row 69 [70,71]’ closed, working from the bottom to the top. The remaining openings are the armholes.

Seam the shoulders together (Row 94 [98,102]), working into all 23 [27,33] sts the on the right-side shoulder, and all 23 [27,33] sts the on the left-side shoulder. Leaving the unworked sts of row 94 [98,102] of the body of the tee un-seamed. The remaining opening is the neckline.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.

Sleeves

Flip each sleeve inside out and seam the sleeves along the ends of the rows, all along the underarm. Seam both sleeves onto the tee, where the armholes are.

Flip your completed tee right side out. Fold-over the cuff of the sleeve 1.5”/4cm, and join the edge of the folded cuff to the sleeve at one point.
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
