Personalized Filet Crochet Pattern

If you haven’t tried your hand at filet yet like me you might want to check this pattern out. I haven’t up until this point even so much as looked at a filet pattern because when I’ve looked at someones else’s finished projects it looks so beautiful but hard and not something I think I would have been capable of doing. Until I stopped and checked out this pattern, this is a great little project that isn’t too big or overwhelming for a filet novice like myself. I don’t know why I have been avoiding these for all this time, because after reading over this pattern it looks so simple and something I could do.

I am loving this pattern the border is one I may try on other projects. I really should stop looking at so many shawl patterns because I keep looking at this one wondering how it would look worked a little bigger for a shawl, or how it would look with arm holed for a vest… If anyone happens to experiment I’d love to see how it turns out.

This Crochet Half Moon Wall Hanging is made with one of my favourite yarns to work with the Caron Cotton Cakes, and this is probably one of my favourite colourways in the cakes. This is a newer pattern written for the current ball size, unlike the older patterns for these cakes. So if you are working this up in the Cotton Cakes use as recommended, unless you are working from a stash of the older cakes, then you will have to adjust.
