Additional Notes:

This pattern is made up of two sections: a flat circle base, and maze-like ridges for optimal scrubbing. If you’re unfamiliar with the magic ring, check out our magic ring tutorial (plus simple hack if you just can’t get the hang of it).

Working with scrub yarns can sometimes pose a challenge due to their lower stitch definition, making it difficult to see your stitches clearly. Here’s a video with some tips for working with yarns like this. To get the hang of the pattern and build your confidence, it’s a good idea to start with a smooth cotton yarn and crochet at least one scrubby before diving into the exciting world of scrub yarn options.

When working on the circle base of your crochet scrubby, it’s essential to crochet in a continuous spiral without joining at the end of each round. To keep track of the first stitch in each round and maintain a tidy shape, using a stitch marker is highly recommended.
