Stunning Temperature Crochet Blankets – Pattern Center

Temperature crochet blankets are quite the phenomenon. Some love them, and some hate them, but one thing is certain – it’s a very interesting concept! Basically, temperature blanket is a representation of temperatures during certain time frame.

It can be based on ongoing weather changes, or archive informations from a year that was important to you. Either way, you assign colors to temperatures, and crochet sequencing them accordingly. Such blanket doesn’t have to be made in rows, there are many different options – squares, diamonds, or spirals. Take a look at examples below and search for links to free patterns under the pictures.

17. Temperature Blanket 2020

This might not be your usual hot to cold color rainbow, more of pastel take on the temperature blanket, but it for sure is an inspirational one. As the general rule of thumb for those patterns is to pick a color that will represent daily temperature, with this one you are encouraged to make little tweaks, like opting for more muted, not that saturated color palette.

18. Temperature Blanket 2021

What looks like the ordinary hot and cold temperature blanket actually hides a very meaningful tweak to the pattern. SamMog has introduced a birthstone motif into this blanket, making a centrepiece out of one of them in every row. The rest of the project is quite traditional, therefore really easy to follow. Just as suggested by the crafter, you might want to add a nice wide border at the end.

24. Weather Blanket C2C style

This temperature blanket catches the eye and strikes the mind. The combination of irregular diagonal stripes with a colorful temperature pattern is quite beautiful. The pattern uses the C2C crochet technique, but it’s better to learn it before you start: you won’t find an explanation in the pattern, but you’ll get a blanket full of memories.
