Happening APRIL 5-6, with a bonus class day April 7th
“Stitch Up Chicago was born from the idea of taking an online group offline to share fiber love. That is what every single Stitch Up is about: creating safe spaces and celebrating our common love of fiber. We had to take a break because of the pandemic and some personal life challenges, but it is time… so here we are planning our SIXTH Annual event and humbled by how our community has grown.”
I have been to a couple of Stitch Up Chicagos now, and I’m so excited to be going back for 2024! It’s a unique retreat – and you don’t have to know how to knit or crochet to join in. It’s all about learning and building community and sharing our love of yarn crafting.
But of course, it’s not JUST hanging out…
Together we’ll do a yarn tasting, make some fabulous patterns, and eat delicious food! So much is included, and new details are being released every week. All you have to do is show up – you don’t even have to bring yarn or notions! At Stitch Up Chicago, all event materials are provided by their generous sponsors. Kits, yarn, hooks – they’ll have it all waiting for you, and it’s all included!

FRIDAY APRIL 5th
1-4 PM AFTERNOON TEA AT NINA CHICAGO
Enjoy delicious snacks and bites from Chef On The Roof while you enjoy an exclusive discounted shopping experience at one of Chicago’s premier Fiber shops. The shop is closed to the public for Stitch Up attendees only – this is an optional add-on!
5:30 pm – 8pm (at the event Hotel) KICK OFF STITCH NIGHT!
Join us for an evening of fabulous stitching and fiber friendship. And yes there will be dinner! It’s a cash bar, but all knitting /crocheting materials are provided.
SATURDAY APRIL 6th
9:00am REGISTRATION OPENS at THE EVENT HOTEL
9:30 am – 12:30 PM BRUNCH IN STITCHES
Enjoy a fabulous brunch buffet with all the fixings while we sip and stitch away. This special event will feature gosadi designers and a special workshop.
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm AN AFTERNOON YARN TASTING
One of the tenets and premier events of Stitch Up, the Indie Yarn tasting is like no other event in the industry. Join us for an exploration of discovering new fibers! Afternoon Refreshments & Snacks provided!
3:00 pm – 4:30 pm AFTERNOON WORKSHOP
Join us as we work on a wonderful project, learn new things, and explore new fibers.
5:30 pm – 8:00 pm CELEBRATION DINNER AND FIBER FUN
Join us for a delicious dinner and the ultimate sip & stitch with all your new fiber friends to close out Stitch Up Chicago! Cash bar, of course. All knitting & crochet materials are provided!
BONUS CLASS DAY SUNDAY APRIL 7TH
In partnership with our host Yarn Shop, Nina Chicago, they have been able to add on classes and a book signing with Patty Lyons on Sunday along with a very special Asylum Fibers pop-up shop!
