CROCHET JACK 0’LANTERN PUMPKINS
I do love a crocheted pumpkin. Though this patterned one can be made in spooky hues, my pumpkins display really needs a big helping of intentional Halloween-ness.
And what’s more Halloween-y than jack-o’-lanterns!? In this case, of course, crochet jack-o’-lanterns!

ABOUT THIS PATTERN
For a moment I had an idea to make these pumpkins hollow with “carved” faces. This is not outside the realm of possibility for the future, but I settled on using tapestry crochet for the faces of these crochet jack-o’lantern pumpkins.
I love tapestry crochet! There’s endless possibilities.
Leaning can be a bit of an issue but when using the “cross stitch” single crochet, you can make so many fun designs with reduced leaning. Another option is to work in the back loop only, but I do not recommend that for stuffed items, as this creates more spaces between the stitches when trying to stuff firmly.
This pattern includes 3 graphs for varied face designs, and includes written instructions for each graph.
If you are new to crochet graphs
I can help! The pattern includes links to videos that explain how to read the graph, how to change colors, and also how to keep your yarns from tangling.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Medium Weight yarn in 2 colors (for each pumpkin) [Lion Brand Heartland]
