Hello, sweetness! Today, I have an absolutely gorgeous, knitted shawl to tell you about. I think you’re going to fall in love with the meditative, lightweight Sail Into The Sunset shawl, so I hope you’ll keep reading for all the delightful details!
Sail Into The Sunset was designed by me, Chandi Agee. It’s a graceful knit that’s inspired by the beauty of evening skies over the sea. Gentle stitch patterns ripple like waves, creating a soothing and meditative project. Lightweight yet cozy, it’s perfect for draping over your shoulders or wrapping snugly around your neck. Relaxing to knit and elegant to wear, this pattern is ideal for both adventurous beginners and experienced knitters.
This is an Adventurous Beginner level pattern that is perfect for knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include knit, k2tog, purl, ssk, and yarn over. The pattern includes written and charted instructions.
The Sail Into The Sunset shawl is knitted with our sumptuous Yak Silk Lace yarn, which is pure luxury! When yak is combined with silk, you get an amazingly soft, lustrous, silky, saturated yarn that is impossible to ignore! Yak Silk Lace is a luscious, 2-ply blend of 50% ultra-soft yak down fiber and 50% lustrous silk. It’s buttery, creamy to the touch, and shimmery with dreamlike softness. Colors dyed onto this yarn base are rich, saturated, and bold. Perfect for sensual, soft shawls, scarves, baby clothes, socks, hats, and whatever you desire! Hold it double for projects requiring a thicker yarn. Projects made with Yak Silk Lace will be adored and treasured for years on end, and it’s loaded with yardage with 680 yds/630 m per skein!
The sample shown here was knitted with colors Libra Harmony Yak Silk Lace (A) and Scales Yak Silk Lace (B) and used approximately 2,720 yds/2,487 m total (1,360 yds/1,244 m per color).
