Erin is the designer and creative mind behind Juniper & Oakes, where she blends cozy yarns, bold colorwork, and thoughtful stitch design into crochet patterns that are worked up into heirlooms. Specializing in overlay mosaic crochet, Erin is known for helping makers confidently step out of their comfort zones and explore new, adventurous stitches …one row at a time.

Her designs, including the Mosaic Gingerbread, Nordic Star, and Mosaic Flower Garden Blankets, have brought thousands of crocheters together through engaging crochetalongs (CALs) and vibrant online communities. Whether she’s leading a new CAL, filming tutorials for YouTube, or writing her next pattern book, Erin is always creating spaces where crocheters feel supported, challenged, and inspired.

She is also the host of the Mosaic Crochet Summit, a popular virtual event that unites mosaic crochet enthusiasts from around the world for a deep dive into this exciting technique.

Outside the world of yarn, Erin is a wife and mom of three. As a former nurse, time management, patience, and multitasking are hardwired into her DNA. She’s passionate about raising curious kids who love to try new things… whether that’s tasting unfamiliar foods, exploring new places, or simply noticing the world around them. That same spirit of curiosity and growth shows up in her design work, too.

Most days, you’ll find her crocheting with an audiobook in her ears or rewatching Gilmore Girls or Outlander while cozy under a handmade blanket. She believes crochet should bring both calm and creativity to your life – and she loves helping others find that balance.
