100% Cotton… or Not?!

I love using Lily Sugar’n Cream for anything kitchen or food related. It’s easy to clean, comes in tons of colors, and is absorbent too! And if high heat is involved it won’t melt – unlike 100% acrylic yarns. However, unless you drink your coffee boiling hot and still in the pot, you could really use whatever fiber you like for these.

Buuuutttt… the Floral Farmhouse Crochet Coasters, when made with Lily Sugar’n Cream (or Bernat Handicrafter) also make beautiful and eco-friendly face scrubbies! Although I’m sure there’s someone out there who likes to wash their face with acrylic yarn…

Go Neutral, or Crochet a Rainbow!

Lily Sugar’n Cream comes in over 75 colorways, each of which will give the Floral Farmhouse Crochet Coasters a unique look. I went with Ecru for an elegant Farmhouse style, but color makes all the difference here! This is a fantastic pattern for using up all your odds and ends, and creating your own custom look. Great for craft fairs, teachers gifts, hostess gifts, and all around the home!
