Gradients and Ombres – All With Perfect Phasing

Yarnspirations has brought back many of the beautiful colors of this yarn from before, and added some gorgeous and exciting new ones! I love the ombres they had before – as well as the new ones – but these gradients are stunning! So many beautiful pattern possibilities!

Caron Colorama Halo Colorways

So what is this Perfect Phasing thing? It’s the way the colors change from one to the other within the skein. Most multi-colored yarns feature a hard color break where you go from one to the other – even when it’s a lighter shade to a darker shade. But with Perfect Phasing, you’d be hard-pressed to figure out where exactly the color changes – because it changes smoothly and continuously throughout! And every cake of Caron Colorama Halo is the same, starting and ending at the same spot in the colorway – letting you plan your Perfect Project!

While I haven’t had a chance to use the cake version, I do love using Caron Colorama Halo. I took advantage of the beautiful ombre of the Beeswax Frost colorway to make the Golden Halo Mobius – a free crochet pattern on Moogly!
