Featuring Herrschner’s Cottage Cotton
I got one skein of this yarn as a sample from Herrschner’s, and immediately fell in love with the feel and color. Herrschner’s Cottage Cotton has a wonderful feel to it, so smooth, soft, and strong. While I received Tame Teal, there are 20 lovely colors in total. Here’s the official website description:
“Herrschner’s Cottage Cotton yarn is a delightfully soft cotton blend with a color palette inspired by the countryside. This worsted weight yarn takes cotton yarn to the next level by blending cotton with acrylic, giving this easy-care yarn a light, airy feel that is cozy yet breathable. Each ball contains 3.5 ounces (207 yards) of worsted weight yarn in a range of muted pastels. The machine washable cotton/acrylic blend is perfect for home projects, blankets, and fashions.”
Indeed, if I had more of it, it might have ended up becoming a top! But with just one skein, it makes a gorgeous dishcloth or washcloth – it’s certainly soft enough for the bath. Small projects like the Bubble Pop Dishcloth are a great way to explore new stitch patterns, and try out new yarnss! So now, it’s time to dive into the pattern!
