While cotton yarn is great for many projects, I don’t recommend it for bikinis or swimsuits. When wet, cotton tends to absorb a lot of water, becomes heavy, takes a long time to dry, and can feel quite uncomfortable. In humid seaside conditions, it might not dry at all — and in some cases, it could even lose its shape or fit.
For swimwear, using yarn designed specifically for bikinis will give you the best results in both comfort and performance.
The pattern is partly made to measure, so you can crochet the swimsuit in any size — from S to 5XL, from A cup to DDDD cup.
It’s stretchy but keeps its shape, lightweight but not see-through — you won’t even need lining!
